Join us for an intimate three-day photography experience at Knob Hill Ranch, set against the horses, open desert, and cinematic light of Joshua Tree, led by acclaimed photographer Bryce Thompson.
Photograph a curated cast of accomplished riders, exceptional horses, modern western styling, and our featured guest cowgirl, Nikki Reed. Between shoots, settle into the ranch, share meals with the creative team, and experience the western side of California’s desert.
Enrollment is limited to just seven photographers. Attendance is by invitation or application.
You’ll spend nearly the entire camp creating in the field alongside Bryce. Rather than traditional classroom lectures, he’ll share his creative process in real time—directing scenes, working with natural light, offering immediate feedback, and helping each photographer develop stronger, more cinematic images.
When the cameras are put away, gather around the table with the riders, artists, and Knob Hill team for ranch meals and conversation. Evening image reviews offer a relaxed opportunity to study Bryce’s workflow, receive feedback, and learn from the work created throughout the day.
Meet Our Cowgirl: Nikki Reed
Nikki Reed is an actress, filmmaker, singer-songwriter, lifelong equestrian, environmental advocate, and entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of sustainable lifestyle brand BaYou with Love, bringing together her passions for conscious entrepreneurship, animals, creativity, and environmental responsibility.
Born and raised in South Africa, Bryce Thompson began his career in front of the camera before finding his voice behind it. His work is refined yet raw, rooted in storytelling and timeless imagery. Bryce has photographed for Ralph Lauren, GQ, BVLGARI, Free People, and Vogue, and has worked one-on-one with some of the world’s most recognizable figures, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Cindy Crawford.
